This senior role within the IT Architecture team involves close collaboration with business leadership and key personnel to identify and prioritize key initiatives. You will ensure these initiatives are completed in a practical, expedient manner and deliver high-quality business process efficiency and technology alignment. The Senior Architect is expected to be an effective communicator, collaborator, and change agent, possessing the necessary business process and technology acumen to meet or exceed the company’s needs. This role also involves leading key programs, assisting in program discovery, design, and execution.Responsibilities:Developing business workflows, optimizing process and aligning with technologyDocument value streams and drive business change management to enhance adoption of business practices in alignment with architecture framework.Drive business transformation through streamlined workflows and alignment with enterprise-wide business processes.Work with solutions architects to implement appropriate technology in alignment with revised workflows.Manage key initiatives as internal leadership consultancy, from business process through the technology stack, to deliver Enterprise Architecture services that advance the business.Champion business process improvement and innovation, driving flexibility, adaptability and the evolution of business processes across the enterprise.Analyze business, operating, and technical models, following market trends and technology industry developments to determine their potential impact on the enterprise’s strategy, direction, and architecture.Provide perspective on the organization’s change readiness and innovate through scenario planning techniques in support of business strategy formulation.Translate and guide the execution of business strategy to achieve the organization’s targeted outcomes by leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the enterprise architecture.Engage business and IT stakeholders, building relationships while communicating the value of Enterprise Architecture and its portfolio of services.Lead key programs, collaborate and evaluate enterprise business initiatives, assist in designing in-depth technical solutions with a security first approach to align business processes and technology with security standards, policies, and guidelines.Demonstrate outstanding communication and collaboration skills with multiple levels of leadership, focusing on change management, business impact and supporting metrics to drive collaborative efforts.Adhere to established internal procedures, policies and guidelines with the ability to document using ITIL and ISO complaint formats.Minimum Requirements:Must be a US Citizen.Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.BS in technical field, or equivalent experience, MS or MBA preferred.7 or more years of experience in Enterprise Architecture at a senior level.10 or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Specialized knowledge in security programs supporting NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP and CMMC.Demonstrated leadership in leading/planning/delivering technology projects/services in a Fortune 500 enterprise environment.Preferred Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of Enterprise Process Design and OperationsSecurity Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SSCP, OSCP, etc.Experience with Standard Enterprise Asset Management policies/proceduresExperience in Enterprise Architecture Tools, Standards, Policies and ProceduresExperience with Organizational Change ManagementOutstanding oral and written communication skillsAbility to establish collaborative teams with team members across multiple business units.In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $165,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
