In this role, you will be a key player in developing and deploying cutting-edge, data-driven solutions that optimize production, streamline workflows, and solve enterprise-level problems. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including engineers, optimizers, and field operators, to understand their challenges and translate them into impactful software solutions and/or process improvements.Key Accountabilities:Partner with Operations, Completions, and Interventions teams to find opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions that demonstrate the power of dataDesign, develop, and deploy robust applications using Python, SQL, and Snowflake within the AWS cloud environmentChampion the adoption of standard processes for software development, including version control, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)Collaborate with Technology and Production as a product owner to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing support of in-house solutionsChip in to the development and maintenance of enterprise-level systems and standards that drive efficiencyBuild intuitive and insightful reporting tools and dashboards using Streamlit, Power BI, or Spotfire to empower data-driven decision-makingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience in the oil and gas industry, particularly related to Petroleum Engineering, preferredStrong programming skills in Python and SQL, especially for data-intensive applicationsExperience with cloud platforms like AWS and AzureProficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with workflow orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to optimally convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesA passion for problem-solving and a strong analytical mindsetSoft Skills:Effective Communicator: Able to present complex problems to a diverse audience, from field personnel to upper management, in a clear and concise manner.
