Job Summary The RN Supervisor for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is an experienced Registered Nurse and is responsible for supervising and monitoring the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shiftin accordance with nursing standards and practices as well as current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations. This position ensures the appropriate delivery of direct and indirect patient care and creates a positive environment for the professional practice of nursing.This position provides leadership for Natchaug Hospital departments in the absence of the unit manager, director, or administration. Key Responsibilities: Serves as the point person in collaboration with the CLC, for admissions, internal and external patient transfers.Acts as a facilitator and decision maker for placement of all admissions and inter/intra facility transfers.
