The parts will then go to orbital welding.Position Responsibilities1st Shift TIG tacker will be certified to AWS D17.1 Aerospace Specification, and current internal procedures as required. The candidate will tack weld aviation hardware from 0.028” to 0.83” thickness, in all positions comprised of Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium. This candidate needs to be detail oriented and productive as they will set the pace for production of orbital welding.Candidate RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities· Set-up and layout jobs using Operation Sheets and fixtures following welding procedures to TIG tack in all positions.· Inspects, maintains, logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for welding and fabricating.· Set up machines according to work instructions.· Solvent cleaning, polishing to prepare welding joints for welding.· Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and welding.· Borescope inspection for root side weld defects.
