RTO: -Inpatient: RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days and this must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work his/her full 36 hours/week. RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days. -Periop Units: Travelers can only take 3 days off within a contract. Three (3) or more absences in a 13-week contract will result in immediate termination of the contract Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
