We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Labor & Delivery RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The L&D RN will treat expecting mothers providing support before, during and after labor.In this role you will:Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needsCarries out physician ordersAdministers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systemsTreat expecting mothers providing support before, during and after labor.What qualifications you will need:Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)Graduate from an accredited School of NursingCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateCurrent Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCurrent Advanced Fetal Monitoring, or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, or Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateOne year of experience in Labor and Delivery requiredHCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
