We are looking for a dedicated Lead BB Medical Technologist like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Medical Technologist Trauma Lead to provide expertise and champion results. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels the patient experience is as meaningful as we do.You Will:Serve as the primary laboratory point of contact for the facility trauma team and assume responsibility of the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisorCoordinate all blood bank and laboratory diagnostic services to support facility trauma casesMaintains current knowledge of external and internal quality indicators and standards and appropriately communicates quality metrics to staffReports any identified quality issues throughout the lab and perform quality control procedures per protocol Analyze proficiency testing samples and perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targetsReviews pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolves any outstanding workload or communicates to staff reliefReceives the daily shipment of blood products, check temperature and compare the list against all the blood product numbersYou Should Have:A 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science is requiredA 4-Year/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology is preferredA State of Florida Technologist License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process3-5 years of experience in blood banking/immunohematology, chemistry, and hematologyHCA Healthcare Laboratory Servicesis a full service providerfor clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services, providing hospitals, physicians, and clients withtimely diagnostic information for patient care.
