The Aviation Supervisor of Janitorial Services is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations within an airport facility. This role ensures that all janitorial services meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with airport regulations. The supervisor leads a team of janitorial staff, coordinates daily tasks, and liaises with airport management to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and manage janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
•Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with airport safety regulations and industry standards.
•Oversee cleaning operations in terminals, restrooms, lounges, baggage areas, and other airport facilities.
•Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
•Coordinate with airport management and other departments to ensure janitorial needs are met.
•Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
•Enforce health and safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
•Respond to urgent cleaning requests and resolve any customer or passenger complaints regarding cleanliness.
•Train and mentor janitorial team members, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
•Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
•2+ years of supervisory experience in janitorial services, preferably in an aviation or large facility environment.
•Knowledge of airport security and safety protocols.
•Strong leadership and team management skills.
•Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
•Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
•Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
•Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
