Who You Are:
Dependable and self-motivated to work to complete the tasks at hand. You are able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on machinery safely by following company policy. Able to work a flexible schedule.
What You Will Be Doing:
Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, and/or departmental relations.Engaged in both mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance of electric power generating equipment, transmission, distribution, and control equipment of electric power utility.Confers with contractors to resolve problems in installation of new equipment, servicing, and repairing equipment and to assist in start of new plants or additions.Reviews inspection and repair reports and observes progress of work on major overhauls to evaluate efficiency and work quality.Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.Communicate with operators from other shifts.Resolves problems using working knowledge and solutions that improve operations and develops recommendations involving new techniques, technologies, or concepts.Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Skills You Bring:
Minimum 2-3 years Industrial Maintenance/electrical, mechanical, plant experience. Must be able to read, write, and speak English Minimum high school education or equivalent; Vocational school a plus Basic understanding of electrical blueprint and schematic reading Knowledge of 480v 3 phase/277v/110v/24v Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems Experience within the glass industry a plus Able to use a Multimeter Strong electrical a plus Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computerinterfaces, PLC’s, VFD’s Able to use tools including hand tools, powered tools, diagnostic tools, and computerprograms. Test and repair water distribution and compressed air systems Able to operate a forklift Basic computer and email skills
