For more information, visit www.avanos.com.Provides leadership to manage the Pain portfolio, including ON-Q, AMBIT, COOLIEF, TRIDENT, and ESSENTEC brands with a global focus. This includes driving sustaining engineering efforts, extending the life cycle of current solutions, launching new products, and creating strategic playbooks for mature, emerging, and advancing markets. Additionally, leads claims, copy initiatives, and oversees special projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals.Provides leadership to develop and execute upstream marketing plans to grow global market share organically for the Pain portfolio. This includes long and near-term strategy development, global market playbook development, insights development (VOC and ethnography), product development and management, new business development, and successful global launches.Develops and helps manage key customer relationships in coordination with business unit & regional stakeholders. Provides leadership and expert knowledge to drive development of platform/category strategies and plans successful execution to deliver on global strategy goals.Primary Partners:Collaborates with Research & Development, Regional Marketing, Sales, Marketing Communications, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Product Supply, Clinical Advisory Board (CAB), and Health Economics.Principal Accountabilities:Supports the execution of the established Pain strategy, including innovation and sustaining engineering (EUMDR, SKU rationalization, and replacing EOL materials with new components).Comprehensive insight development to support the strategy, culminating in our brand promise to clinicians/patients and how we will deliver on the promise. Insights to be developed with qualitative methods (interview guides, in-person/virtual interviews, ethnography, and leveraging the Pain CAB) and quantitative methods (Kano, Conjoint, Max/Diff, and Gabor-Granger methods).Responsible for the development of a strategy and launch plan for new product lines, including market assessment, innovation roadmap, intellectual property, branding, pricing, positioning, messaging, marketing campaigns, training, initial forecasts, system set-up, and inventory establishment in coordination with regional marketing partners.Responsible for maintaining global pricing strategyLeads claims and copy initiatives to ensure accurate and effective communication of product benefits and features.Oversees special projects to drive strategic goals and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Participated in the development of the global Pain KOL strategy and its execution.Monitors competitive activity and industry developments impacting the business.Contributes (but not as the core team lead) to the evaluation of inorganic opportunities (e.g., M&A, venture investments, licensing, and distribution agreements) in coordination with Corporate Development partners, including opportunity assessment, clinical evaluation, development of an investment thesis, due diligence, development/presentation of a business case/plan, and integration.Provides effective communication with GSM business partners and regional stakeholders to fully understand the requirements of the business and regions.Secures buy-in from regions on key strategies and tactics.Ensures seamless integration with cross-functional teams in R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Product Supply, and other functions as necessary for the product development process.Basic Qualifications:2+ years of marketing experience preferably in the medical industryBachelor’s degree in engineering required, MBA preferred.Broad-based knowledge in medical device product management, including new product development and launch, strategy development, Voice of Customer processes, and collaborating with clinicians.Pain medical device experience preferred but not required.Ability to manage cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.Experience contributing to and driving strategic planning in a Medical Device organization.Global perspective and effectiveness in cross-cultural environments obtained from experience leading/managing global teams through a product launch process.Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.Ability to travel 30% (including international travel).Based out of Alpharetta, GA Headquarters office.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with PAIN, GI, ICU, IR, NICU, and/or Pediatrics.MBA or equivalent experience preferred.Medical Device Marketing experience preferred.Avanos Medical is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
