Description:The schedule for this position is variable.RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area. This position requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. The Lead CT Technologist ensures accreditations standards are maintained as well as performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of CT equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of an accredited A.R.R.T. program. Registered as a Radiological Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Description:RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performing noninvasive testing for evidence of peripheral vascular (arterial and venous), renal, aorta/iliac and carotid artery disease. Preparing preliminary findings. Able to provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required. Registered as one of the following: Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI); Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)]ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of experience in a hospital inpatient, outpatient/ ambulatory setting as a vascular sonographer preferred.
