We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs aSonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic procedures with the use of ultrasound, with protocols outlined by the Radiologist.You willoperatediagnostic equipment, process images, and prepareroomwith necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. You willbe responsible forselecting proper technical factors, producing diagnostic quality images, anddemonstratingcompetencein the operation of equipment. You willassistthe physician during invasive procedures. What you will do in this role:You will performdiagnostic procedures on all parts of the body as well asthe following most common exams (this list is not all inclusive):Limited OBPelvic – trans-abdominal and trans-vaginalHead/Neck-thyroid, lymph nodes, carotidVenous- legs and armArterials limited- groin or specificArterial segmental DopplerInvasive procedures – Biopsies,thoracentesisandparacentesisYou will complete the patient’s history form,document thetechnologist exam sheet, take vitalsignsand check labsas needed, completingconsent forms when necessary, and re-stockingexam rooms with required suppliesin between patients.What Qualifications you will need:Graduate of anaccredited school of SonographySonography certification from the ARDMS (or equivalent)requiredA currentAmerican Heart Association (AHA) or America Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider isrequiredRegistry in Sonography Memorial Health Meadows Hospital is a regional health system featuring a state-of-the-art hospital, cancer center and a network of physician practices that serve Vidalia, Ga. and the surrounding communities.
