Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Medical Surgical - Neuro

Chemo Experience required.
Weekend Required: Will work every other weekend
On Call: No
Block Schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Floating Requirement: Will float as needed.
Special Requirements:
-Required Work Setting Experience: Med/Surg.
-Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
-Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management.
-Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
-Required Oncology Experience: Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy. Required Medication Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA.
-Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury.
-Experience with Surgical drains required.
-Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management.
-Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
-Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required.
-Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred.
Scrub Color: Royal blue
Parking Cost: Parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.
RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval.
Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by
Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer.
Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.
