You will lead team members in our St. Elmo, Illinois manufacturing facility to accomplish the plant's process improvement opportunities and attain safety, quality and production goals. You will also ensure production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available to maintain production schedules. You will report to the Operations Manager.A Day in the Life of a Team Leader Production:You Will:Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained.Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities.Help oversee sanitation operations to maintain a clean and food safe environment.Enforce plant rules, regulations and procedures.Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.Help support plant and company safety programs, promoting a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry.You Have:High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or other Natural Science degrees. Other degrees will be considered.Two years+ management experience.SAP experience.Understanding of manufacturing processes and lossWorking knowledge of plant equipment and safetyPrevious experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environmentAvailable to work weekends and flex hoursWhile performing the responsibilities of this job, you are required to talk and hear, frequently required to stand and walk.
