The Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute of the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL is building the Carle Clinical Imaging Research Program (CCIRP) with a position to be filled at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Carle Foundation is a vertically integrated healthcare system with almost 17,000 employees, a multi-specialty physician group, eight hospitals, and health plans. Carle also collaborates extensively with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois) in a number of initiatives. These include the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the world's first engineering-based medical school, and the Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center (CIAIC). In addition to the primary appointment at Carle, additional academic appointments are possible in the relevant Illinois departments and at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. Carle is making a multi-million dollar investment in its research infrastructure, including CCIRP, CIAIC, clinical trials management, investigator-initiated support services, and other initiatives.
