The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Engineer and Project Manager on electric transmission line design projects of overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country as well as regional utilities. Description Leidos is seeking a Civil Engineering Supervisor to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program, providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).Approximately 25% travel.Approximately 25% telework.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide supervision for a team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments, ensuring work requested under the task order is performed properly and within the prescribed time and budget constraints negotiated between the Contractor and the Government.Direct supervision of personnel including, hiring, promotion, and termination authority within areas of responsibility, in conjunction with senior manager review and approval.Provide timecard management and guidance for assigned staff.Maintain frequent interface and communication with manager, FAA personnel, and other contractor personnel.Contribute to the development of project plans, establish project schedules, and project estimates.Manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines through to completion while working in a fast-paced team environment.Will work with multiple disciplines as applied to general requirements as typical for standard types of engineering projects.Provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of construction-related punch-list items.Effectively communicate in written and verbal form.
