Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing and refrigeration installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair work.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all refrigerators and ice machines.Complete projects on a timely basis and within budget parameters.Maintains current and accurate records of all maintenance inspections and repairs in computerized maintenance management system and/or on appropriate forms.Ensures work areas, equipment, and supplies are kept clean, orderly and safe.Participates in processes that support continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards.Communicates and works with clinical and support staff regarding maintenance requirements, potential impacts to operations, and coordination of activities.Operates all mechanical equipment in the boiler room area including the emergency generator and cooling tower.Installs and repairs electrical and plumbing equipment/systems as required.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONHigh School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experienceEXPERIENCENo experience requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSConstant standing and walking.Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
