The Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute of the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL is building the Carle Clinical Imaging Research Program (CCIRP) with a position to be filled at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Carle Foundation is a vertically integrated healthcare system with almost 17,000 employees, a multi-specialty physician group, eight hospitals, and health plans. The CIAIC's principal focus is a 7T Siemens TERRA whole-body MRI scanner, an FDA-approved system that is used for both research and clinical purposes and that is the only such system in the State of Illinois. Carle also has a Siemens 3T Prisma system, a 3T Vida system and two Siemens 1.5T Sola systems that are available for research. CCIRP has existing research programs in MRI physics, translational and clinical neuroimaging at 7T, and musculoskeletal MRI at 3T and 7T.
