Identify, schedule and oversee code and regulatory inspections per technical program requirements. Support field execution of programmatic inspections. Prepare required analysis and program documents to support inspection scopes.Maintains 2 programs that are mandated by the Code of Federal Regulations. Inservice Testing (IST) and Appendix J (LLRT and ILRT). IST monitors safety related pumps and valves for degradation through prescribed tests found in the ASME OM Code. Appendix J tests the leak tightness of containment. Local Leak Rate Test (LLRTs) for valves and mechanical penetrations and the ILRT is a once every 15-year test that pressurizes all of containment. With both programs, the most important aspect is to find and detect degradation so that it can be corrected. This maintains the plant at a high level of equipment and system reliability and will ensure the health and safety of the public.
