BluSky Restoration wants to hire YOU as a Construction Superintendent. This position has a starting salary from $50,000 to $70,000 and a bonus potential for $5,000 to $10,000 depending on experience! And a vehicle allowance!
The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all assigned reconstruction, and capital improvement projects, including but not limited, to vendor selection, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assistance. The Superintendent is also responsible for working closely with occupants and property owners throughout the process to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Management
Follow scope and notify Project Director of discrepanciesEnsure all work is contracted/subcontractedObtain building permits as required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and projectAdhere to all OSHA and Environment regulationsAssist with change order amount when requestedManage subcontractors to verify that they are supplying adequate resources to meet contract requirementsSecure project resources in the most cost effective manner and ensure they are on site at the appropriate time. Manage bid-buy out with trade partners.Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standardsDirectly supervise BluSky personnel on projects as requiredAdheres to all company Best PracticesProvide the highest level of customer service at all timesAll other duties or projects as assigned
Office Management
Execute proper subcontractor agreements per company guidelines.Ensure all subcontractors are working under a subcontract agreementApprove or reject invoices as appropriate, with proper communication with your Project AccountantDevelop and update project schedulesUpdate and provide schedules to Project Director and Profit Center Leader weeklyResponsible for directing, mentoring and training junior level team membersRepresentation on BluSky emergency mitigation on-call management rotation
Profitability Management
Meet or exceed billing, revenue, and profit margin goals as defined by BluSkySecure bids to obtain fair pricing on jobs within two weeks of assignment of the job per Best PracticesComplete buy out worksheet and update weeklyTrack change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order form and budget updates
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years residential and commercial construction, general contracting experience required3+ years project management experienceMust be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across the nationAbility to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process.
EDUCATION:
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
