Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on all equipment, troubleshooting, determine if repairs will be done in the Wanzek shop or outsourcedUpdate tool inventoryProperly complete a JHA prior to any work function that poses a potential of injuryOperate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defectsEnsure all equipment has an equipment ID (logo, unit numbers, digital photos)Maintain proper record keepingDOT Issues: verify USDOT annual inspections in trucks and on file in officeEquipment safety (i.e., backup alarms, lights, seat belts, fire extinguishers, rigging, etc.)Show a general interest in all basic machines, including crane safety (anti two blocks, rigging, crane maintenance daily logbook/annual inspection, etc.); investigate or question others to ensure logs and two blocks are correct, etc.Occasionally travel to jobsites for repairs and inspections, review field maintenance to ensure it is done properly and review maintenance reportsReview maintenance records and major repairs with operators and superintendents to ensure crews are self-sufficient and responsible for their own maintenancePerform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairCommunicate to obtain needed partsDocument all work performed and recommended on the repair orderRoad test vehicles when requiredReport machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisorKeep shop area neat and cleanMaintain and account for all shop tools and manuals;
