Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition summary: This position functions in the scrub role, under the direct supervision of the cardiologist or radiologist, in performing diagnostic and/or interventional procedures in Cath Lab. Must understand and maintain strict sterile technique. Must possess maturity and good judgment skills to carry out the responsibilities of the department.Exhibits professional skill and working knowledge of all routine diagnostic, special angiography and interventional procedures and equipment Able to produce, manipulate, and develop computer aided imaging devices Participates in on-going in-service education and attends departmental meetings as requested or required for any and all governing bodies Responsible for ordering and stocking supplies as needed to perform all procedures at appropriate levels Must possess a working knowledge of the CPCS and Cath Lab computer systems Assures completeness of patient care by the end of the shift as additionally evidenced by lack of end of shift overtime What qualifications you will need:RT must be registered/licensed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)BLS certification upon hire and maintained through employment with Terre Haute Regional HospitalACLS certification obtain within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital.Terre Haute Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1882. Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsShift: Night shiftThe Cat Scan Tech produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.Performs Computerized Tomography Scans following protocols outlined and provided by Radiologists.Review of physician orders and diagnoses prior to scanning, will discuss with Radiologist as neededReviews appropriate Lab values prior to administration of IV Contrast.Utilization of iSTAT to obtain Lab results.Use of power injector for contrast administration.Perform Scanner Quality Control testing as needed.Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concernsAssists physicians with invasive proceduresUtilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilitiesQualifications:Graduate of an accredited program for RadiographersCurrently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaginingCustomer service abilities including effective listening skillsCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environmentCertification: BLS and ARRT must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional HospitalTerre Haute Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1882.
