Position Summary:
STARPLUS ENERGY LLC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational and administrative functions essential to the success of the payroll process. The ideal candidate will possess organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to sustainable accounting practices. This position reports to the Accounting Director.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Control and process the payroll with its various types: salary and non-salary, including special events such as bonus, retroactivities, overtime and others as requiredEnsure payroll process is in accordance with company policiesSupervise the current package of benefits of unionized and employed personnel is complied with the conditions established by law and internal policiesCoordinate with the Human Resources department, so that any modification in regard to benefits or salary is implemented by the established dates and reflected properly in payroll processManage hourly time-keeping system and employee payroll informationAssist in payroll tax filing and month-end closeGenerate payroll reports for review and approvalResolve and neutralize any contingencies that endanger the timely operation of the payrollMaintain internal controls over the payroll processRecord retention related to payroll and employee informationConduct random regular audits on payroll informationPerform other position related duties as assignedBasic:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similarMust be eligible to work in the United StatesAbility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredStrong problem solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and multi-taskDemonstrate teamwork and team building skillsProficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applicationsKnowledge of SAP is beneficialConflict management skillsUnderstanding of basic accounting principlesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
Preferred:
Bilingual English / KoreanMaster of Business AdministrationExperience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturingAbility and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements, and the drive to enact change
