As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is a temporary (PRN) position, working Monday-Friday with possible Saturday day/evening shifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient MRI Imaging Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriatelyPerforms routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as neededFollows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) MRI Department Support Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Reports incidents or suspected incidents of resident abuse to the Rehab Program Director/Director of Health Services and/or the Executive Director immediately.• Travel, as needed, to other campus locations and/or to home health assignments in the designated territory.• Complies with all resident rights per the company’s Resident Rights Policy.• Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.• Participates in survey preparation activities.• Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation: Master DegreeExperience: 0-1 yearsLicenses and CertificationsMust hold an applicable, unencumbered Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or be CCC eligible and hold current, unencumbered state license.Graduate of a master’s level program in speech-language pathology which is either accredited by the Educational Standards Board -or- whose course work and practice meet ASLHA certification requirements.Current CPR Certification for healthcare providers through CPR training that includes hands on practice and in-person skills assessment preferred.Physical RequirementsSitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
