Position Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting testing on high voltage lithium ion batteries and components. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various environments. Individual must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced highly technical work environment and adapt to change.
Testing and measurement equipment can range from basic measuring tools (Vernier calipers, multi-meters) to highly complex test and inspection equipment (gas chromatography, CT scan, X-Ray, battery cyclers, environmental test chambers, vibration shaker, module crush tester, oscilloscope, coordinated measuring machine(CMM).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the set-up, execution, and support of testing (audit/inspection) activitiesAccurately analyze, record and document test (audit/inspection) data, including observations, measurements, and resultsPrepare and maintain (PM and cleanliness) laboratory equipment and instrumentsPrepare, store, and dispose of samples according to laboratory requirementsMonitor and manage (calibration) lab supplies, consumables, and materials, including spare parts, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing testingParticipate in quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain high standardsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentAssist in training of new team membersStrong written and verbal communication skillsPropose recommendation for continuous improvements such as methods, standardizations, and evaluationsBe able to and willing to assist with investigations and studiesPrepare and escalate non-conformance reports and findingsBasic:
Minimum Age: 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the United StatesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredAble to use MS Office suite including Word and ExcelReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyBasic understanding of hand tools & gages
Preferred:
Associates Degree, Technical training, or Military experience in technical fieldElectronics, maintenance, science, chemical, or medical field and/or 2+ years in a quality technician role in lithium ion battery testingElectro-Mechanically inclinedPractical use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement toolsAbility to read drawings, diagrams, and other technical documentsCalibration, CMM, test/laboratory experienceExperience/knowledge of inspection and auditingBilingual in English and Korean
