Responsible for the clinical performance including; shiftassignments and workload distribution; maintaining ICU standards and guidelines; training and orienting staff; computer training; andsetting up in-services as needed. Verifies and signs off pay roll. Assists the Director in the interviewing, hiring, discipline andperformance evaluations of staff. Performs patient care as needed; Assists in the development and maintenance of departmentalpolicies and procedures. Performs departmental quality assurance and performance improvement including routine equipmentcalibration and functions checks; performance improvement data collection and analysis.
