Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsDemonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performedPerforms procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patients needs as appropriateCompletes appropriate documentation for each study performedPerforms all computer and PACS functionsObserves safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staffDemonstrates knowledge of Universal protocolsUses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing proceduresParticipates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotationsOperates radiation-producing equipment and applies radiation-protection techniques to take radiographs in environments including Fluoroscopy, the Operating Room, the Emergency Department, and portable examsOperates radiation-producing equipment and performs advanced competencies in at least 2 of the following environments: mammography, dexa, fluoroscopy, pediatric fluoroscopy, the Operating Room general c-arm procedures, the Operating Room advanced technologies and procedures (including hybrid-OR room, mobile CT, robotic spine cases, and advanced orthopedics)Performs computed radiography functions throughout the medical centerPerforms all other duties as assignedWhat qualifications you will need:Required Registration, Licensure or Certification:Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsCurrent advanced CT registryCertification as a Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts within 90 days of hireCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPRRequired Education or Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyPreferred Education or Experience: One year of experience in an Imaging DepartmentRequired Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated competencies and scheduled to rotate work assignments in at least 2 of the following areas: Mammography, Dexa, Fluoroscopy, Pediatric Fluoroscopy, the Operating Room general c-arm procedures, the Operating Room advanced technologies and procedures (including hybrid-OR room, mobile CT, robotic spine cases, and advanced orthopedics)For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care to thousands of families in Wichita and throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma.
