Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary: The Environmental Engineer is responsible to provide technical support to ensure effective environmental systems are maintained for compliance and excellence and generally serves as a subject matter expert in at least one medium (air, water, waste) with current medium emphasis being air. The main areas of responsibility include managing environmental compliance (including monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping), development and maintenance of environmental permits, release reporting/investigation, and providing training and support to facility personnel to ensure environmental systems are effective to maintain compliance with governmental regulations and company policies/practices. As a member of the EHSS Team, the position plays a critical role in engaging and incorporating environmental stewardship in the overall EHSS culture. This position serves as a technical and proficient subject matter expert to reduce risk and drive continuous improvements.
