The YES Project Manager will be primarily responsible for the work of the Young, Empowered, and Strong (YES) Project operating within Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Breast Oncology Center and in collaboration with Dana-Farber’s Community Health Department. The purpose of the YES project is to create and implement proven and innovative strategies to support both young breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer patients in their care and aid in closing the gap in disparities and inequities in the survival and quality of life of young adults in groups that have been economically and socially marginalized. More specifically, the YES Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day organization and activities of the project including developing and maintaining partnerships, organizing the development and dissemination of materials, trainings, and curricula, coordinating meetings, and carrying out evaluations, and keeping the project on time. The YES Project Manager will write yearly progress reports and communicate progress and updates to key stakeholders, and will coordinate efforts with project leadership, as well as with Patient Navigators (PNs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), and Community Health Centers.The YES Project Manager works independently under the direction and guidance of a Senior Manager and Project Lead. In this highly visible position, the YES Project Manager will have a solid foundation of health disparities and barriers to care that our historically underserved populations face. The role represents DFCI and the YES Projectin the community and builds strong partnerships with community-based agencies, city and state health departments, and internal and external health care providers and clinicians. These programs and initiatives will be evaluated for their consistent and ongoing impact in the community, ability to meet department metrics, and ability to maintain strong community relationships.This position’s work location is hybrid with two or three days per week remote.
