Lift Maintenance Mechanics ensure the safety and reliability of our lifts by monitoring, maintaining and repairing lift equipment in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. The ideal candidate holds a competent mechanical/electrical skill set and demonstrates an ability to positively work as part of a larger team. **There is a $2000 sign-on bonus, split and paid out $1000 after 6 months of work and $1000 after 12 months of work.**RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and repair all lift equipment, ranging from conveyors to high-speed detachable quads. Duties during the winter operating season include regularly scheduled maintenance, pre-operational, mid-day, weekly, and monthly inspections as well as responding to lift breakdowns. The summer season includes a thorough inspection of all lift components, tower work, and grip and chair maintenance. Work on hydraulic systems, braking systems, rigging, gasoline and diesel engines up to 900 Hp, as well as low voltage safety circuits. QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two years of mechanical or electrical experience. Detachable lift experience is a plus. Must be able to work under timelines and pressure. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.Position Responsibilities:Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Work from preventative maintenance schedules, various checklists, manuals, diagrams, specifications, vehicle file and instructions.Assist in performing regular scheduled tractor inspections, complete checklists, troubleshoot and make routine repairs as required. Perform major repair work to tractors and trailers, disassemble, remove, repair or replace defective parts or components of gas or diesel engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, ignition, electrical and hydraulic systems, air conditioning, refrigeration controls and units, clutches, brakes and mechanical or electrical operating units.Assist in servicing and repairing refrigeration units, repair engines, repair leaks, replace tubing, condensers, thermal controls, and recharge units with approved refrigerant gas.Operate electric arc welding equipment to repair ramps, ladders and tripods, repair or construct new cargo bars.Assist on road service trips, maintain required logs, records, checklists and reports, maintain garage tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.Perform other similar or related operations as assigned or directed.
