The Maintenance Mechanic I is a knowledgeable repair person with exposure to and experience with FFC systems andbuilding components. The in-home setting could be a patient's private residence or in a patient's room in an assisted living facility, or in an independent living facility. Powerback Rehabilitation To You allows the Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat in the most functional environment which is the patient's home. The Speech Language Pathologist organizes and provides speech-language services for the agency to facilitate rehabilitation. They direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Also, the Speech Language Pathologist facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for communication and swallowing, to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. They direct activities to promote and maintain health, within the scope of practice and consistent with the Code of Ethics of the profession. This position provides a flexible schedule and work environment in various settings.RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. As necessary or applicable, supervision of CFYs temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.2. Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.3. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.4. Makes referrals to other disciplines, agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.5. Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team and the physician to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.6. STAT team members give MOCK code training for nurses and ancillary staff to help facilitate better outcome in code situations.Hourly Range: $35.81 - 59.09STAT Nurses respond to:Code stroke, Code Thrombectomy, Code STEMI, Code 10, Anesthesia Emergency, Code Blue, Code Malignant Hyperthermia, Code Pink and Rapid Response pages. As well as any employee with questions about Hospital policies, procedures, or patient care.STAT nurses use problem focused physical exam to evaluate and treat patients according to protocols.Stabilize decompensating patients on the floor and in ICUs.Manage ICU patient on floor.Facilitate movement of patients to higher level of care when needed.Use the chain of command when resolving issues.Assisting visitors and staff to ED after a code gray.Administer IV push medications on applicable floors (ex. Cardizem, Amiodarone, Hydralazine)Utilizes the Clinical Emergency and Rapid Response Adult Protocol and ACLS to patients including but not limited to the following:Oxygen DesaturationIncreased work of breathingChest painCardiac arrhythmiasAcute RalesAcute BleedingSymptomatic HypertensionLethargyLethargy with depressed respiratory statusHypoglycemiaAnaphylaxis.Education Requirements:Graduate of a professional academic nursing program. Holds current RN Registration to practice in the State of New York.Experience: A minimum of three (3) years recent Intensive Care clinical experience in specific patient populations served. BLS/ACLS certified.Communication Skills:Communicates effectively with patients, family members, employees, and others. Listens actively and verifies and clarifies messages. Seeks the input of others to achieve consensus. Applies problem solving, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills into communication.
