Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for Subject Matter Expert – Level III / Senior Network Architect for our NIH-CIT Proposal.This position will be located in Rockville, MDand will be a hybridposition. Responsibilities: The SME role’s responsibilities include:Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlogLead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security TeamsProvide subject matter expertise in appropriate architecture areaThe Network Architecture Section responsibilities include:Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectivesSoftware and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenanceTeam with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirementsMaintain technical architecture documentationTroubleshooting and problem resolutionChange managementSupport resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediationStrategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline and have at least one of the Cisco CCIE certifications, both the written and practical. Within each of the Cisco Certifications, the following specializations are needed and listed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless OR Experience required is 8-plus years in Network Services and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related disciplineMust be able to obtain a Public Trust Company Overview: GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
