About the unitOur unit: We are a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit with 7 private rooms, 3 triage beds, a whirlpool, and a C-section suite located in our department. We average 300 deliveries and over 500 triages per year. Our nurses are certified in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, infant STABLE. We have a strong midwife program and are equipped to handle emergencies and most high-risk deliveries. We have 24-hour newborn coverage by nurse practitioners from Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
