Post Acute Care UnitsA Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Medicaid unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF, dehydration, cellulites, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including: doctors, social work, dieticians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. A Wing offers a well-rounded opportunity for learning, professional growth and personal satisfaction.B Wing is a 40 bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. B wing is a great unit for nursing students to develop their organizational skills and gain some experience in dealing with challenging behaviors. This unit also works closely with a multidisciplinary team meets and discusses the resident’s plan of care.C Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and Skilled unit and is a great place to learn basic med-surg, I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. Scope of Work:The Speech-Language Pathologist is an independent health care professional who provides individualized patient care that assesses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults per physician referral. The Senior Speech Language Pathologist is responsible to support and monitor staff performance, education and competency including organizing in-services and taking a lead with performance and process improvement efforts. This position assists rehab leadership, as directed, in hiring and orienting new therapy staff. FULL TIME-DAYSScope of workTo work collaboratively with members of an interdisciplinary team in order to assist patients and families with complex psychosocial needs.
