As a team member on 2 South, you will see a wide variety of patients. Some of those diagnoses include Orthopedic Trauma, Ortho Oncology, Hip & Spine Fractures, Spine Surgery, where the other population is Progressive Care and Med/Surg overflow. These diagnoses can be anything from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Pneumonia, Sepsis, Congestive Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Drips, Bi pap as well as Post Op heart ablation and pacemaker replacement patients. About the unit 6 and 8 Center at Butterworth Hospital are secure units with 20 private beds on each that specialize in Women and Infant Services, specifically postpartum care of Mother Baby couplets, after labor and delivery. The excellent care provided by the 110 members of our Nursing and Support Team within Postpartum provides team members and patients with memories that last a lifetime. We're here to guide parents through this transitional period, helping to provide education, and support every step of the way. About the unit6 Meijer Heart Center (6 Heart) is a 46-bed cardiac and vascular progressive/stepdown unit at the Meijer Heart Center. The primary patient population served include patients with various cardiac and vascular diseases requiring medical, procedural, or surgical interventions. This includes acute coronary syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, post-percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral artery disease, renal artery disease, aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease and heart rhythm disorders. 6 Heart nurses are skilled in peritoneal dialysis, utilization of Endotool for continuous insulin drip management, and hemodynamic monitoring with arterial lines. 6 Heart is a great unit to grow and develop as a nurse. Our team members gain knowledge and confidence caring for our cardiac and vascular patients. About the unit 4 Center OB Special Care is a specialty within the world of Obstetrics care. 4 Center providers expert individualized care for patients with high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy- related conditions, as well as postpartum care. Our most common diagnosis includes premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor or contractions, preeclampsia/hypertension, cervical shortening, vaginal bleeding, hyperemesis, and diabetes care. The unit is located in Butterworth Hospital and is known for its outstanding teamwork and welcoming atmosphere! At 7 North opportunities to learn and grow never stop due to the variety in patient population, this unit is considered a medical/surgical unit but specializes in the care of urology and surgical oncology post-operative patients as well as those with gastrointestinal diagnoses. This team stands out as being experts in nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters and urologic care, and managing the care of wounds, ostomies, tubes and drains. Job SummaryThis position is a supportive role for the systems ambulatory clinics. About this unit The MHC OR consists of 9 operating rooms including 4 hybrid ORs that both the vascular and cardiovascular service lines utilize. The integrated PV/CV team takes care of all peripheral vascular cases (AAA, fem-pops, EVAR, angios, carotids etc.) and cardiothoracic cases (CABG, Valve, TAVR, Robotics, VAD, Transplant, Lung surgery). Job SummaryThis position is a supportive role for the systems ambulatory clinics. The tasks for this position will include, but are not limited to, completing pre and/or prior authorizations, assisting with patient assistance programs, scheduling patients from provider referrals or other registries, working with insurance companies to review coverages, communicating with patients and clinical staff, and managing parts of the medication use cycle. About this unit Lake Drive Surgery Center has 8 operating rooms and 28 nursing unit rooms. We care for both pediatric and adult patients undergoing surgery for multiple different specialties including: eyes, ENT, plastics, breast, robotics, general, GYN, uro-GYN, fertility, colo-rectal, urology, sports medicine, total joints, spine/pain, hand, foot/ankle and vascular. Our patients receive excellent care and enjoy the option to come in for surgery and discharge home the same day, which is reflected in our likelihood to recommend scores.
