ResponsibilitiesThe X-Ray Technologist arranges patients for radiological examinations to provide personal care and diagnostic services in the home. Produces quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Conducts radiographs in multiple views based on department requirements. . As an X-Ray Technologist you will:Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staffPrepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging proceduresPerforms daily inspection of assigned vehicles, x-ray machine and other medical equipmentRemains in contact with dispatch when work is completed for further assignmentsPrepare images for reading by RadiologistCompletes all department required documentation to include but not limited to daily log sheets and monthly cleaning logs to ensure company and government standards are metProcesses images and reviews for proper identification and pertinent clinical history to ensure quality controlMaintains and cleans all equipment.
