Maintenance TechnicianPackaging Corporation of America - Edmore1106 Industrial Park Dr,Edmore, MIPay and BenefitsPay Range = $24.88 to $33.53based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.Excellent Benefits Package (Health, Dental, Optometry)401K PlanPCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay.PCA provides Safety shoes and Safety Glass stipendsPCA provides Uniforms for Maintenance TechniciansJob SummaryThis is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, maintaining manufacturing equipment, building and grounds.In addition to the skills outlined below, successful candidates must be able to work on any shift (with occasional variable start times) including overtime, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and holidays (as scheduled).ResponsibilitiesThis position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Edmore, MI.This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.Record maintenance and repair activities in a computer-based system.Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a Production Environment.All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft and training is provided to develop these skills.Adhere to all plant environmental, health, and safety guidelines, policies and practices.Basic Qualifications1 Year experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery., i.e. motor controls, relay logic, PLCs, AC/DC drives, etc.Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics.Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.Preferred Qualifications3 Years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance mechanic including troubleshooting experience. Previous experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.Previous experience operating a motorized forklift.The production schedule is 3 shift operation. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change.Must be Authorized to work in the US.Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
