TheCDL-Class B Equipment Operatoris responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste (tank, van, and/or roll-off dump truck) from a generator/facility to a Clean Harbors facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations. The CDL-Class B Operatorserves as a representative ofHPC-Industrialin creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses and maintenance.Strong knowledge in the operation of equipment used in commercial transportation.Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.Complete understanding of DOT’s safety program & standards.Possess excellent communications and human relations skills.Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting transportation equipment is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs;Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations;Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business;Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers;Experience operating a vacuum truck. Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device;Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
