Corewell Health is offering up to $12,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! (nights only)About the unitThe 4th floor (4NS) is a cardiac progressive care unit. We have 36 beds with 30 semi-private rooms and 3 semi-private rooms, which includes 1 negative pressure room.Each patient has a telemetry monitor that they are required to wear at all times while on the unit. We take many types of patients including hemodynamically stable adults ages 18 or greater that require monitoring every four hours. The unit can take pediatric patients ages 14 or greater into a private room with a guardian present. Common diagnoses include cardiac intervention, pre-CABG, arrhythmias, blood pressure abnormalities, congestive heart failure, substance abuse, and general medical patients. The unit also takes medication drips including antiarrhythmic medications, IV nitroglycerin, heparin, non-titrating dopamine, and IV inotropic (not including levophed, neosynephrine, or labetalol). The unit does not take ventilators or heated high flow oxygen modalities. The 4th floor is a fast paced, high-energy environment that thrives on teamwork, kindness, and respect from all team members. About the unitSICU cares for patients 15 and over who are hemodynamically unstable and who require continuous medication infusions, and/or intensive nursing care. SICU is a very faced paced intensive care unit that cares for a large population of Level 1 and Level 2 trauma patients. Other patients commonly cared for in SICU include neurosurgery, neurology, vascular surgery, and other acute surgical patients. The unit serves as the hospital’s stroke designated ICU, and massive transfusion experts. Specialized equipment used in SICU include CRRT, Level 1 transfuser, Camino ICP monitor, and ventriculostomy Accudrain. About the unitThe hemodialysis unit is an acute care dialysis department which has 6 bays capable of dialyzing 6 patients per shift at the bays, along with 4 more bedside or ICU patients. We cover CH Wayne, CH Taylor and CH Trenton hospital for dialysis treatments. The units’ primary function is to provide dialysis treatments to our many nephrology patients, which means travel maybe needed throughout the day to another one of our facilities that we cover. This busy unit performs approximately 3000 dialysis treatments a year.
