Post Acute Care UnitsA Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Medicaid unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF, dehydration, cellulites, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including: doctors, social work, dieticians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. A Wing offers a well-rounded opportunity for learning, professional growth and personal satisfaction.B Wing is a 40 bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. B wing is a great unit for nursing students to develop their organizational skills and gain some experience in dealing with challenging behaviors. About the unit1NE works in coordination with the Troy acute care EC to move admitted patients quickly to an in-patient care environment. Patients in this unit enjoy appropriate care while an in-patient bed location is prepared for them, or they are prepared for discharge. Length of stay on this unit is typically shorter than 48 hours. We care for patients with all types of diagnoses (cardiac, GI, neuro, trauma) so there is a wide variety of skills required. About the unit4 South is a 35 bed Progressive Care Unit. Our unit is a fast-paced, encouraging environment. We provide care for a wide range of patient needs, such as stroke, cardiac, and thoracic patients, to name a few. We assess patient’s NIHSS scale and provide treatment and education per protocol and treat Cardiac issues that may arise during their stay with medications and procedures. We do vital signs every four hours and hourly rounding on every patient. About the unitCPCU is a 28-bed unit consisting primarily of cardiac patients. We have 16 private rooms and 2 semiprivate in-patient rooms with 4 semi-private outpatient rooms. UNIT SUMMARY: We are a fast paced 12 bed Medical ICU managing a complex patient population which include both medical and surgical patients. We are the primary ICU for Stroke/TPA patients and care for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure requiring advanced airway management, GIB (GI bleeding) requiring massive blood transfusion, kidney failure requiring CRRT, and multi organ failure with invasive and noninvasive monitoring. Surgical patients cared for on this unit include post op patients that have various procedures/operations such as new tracheostomies, pegs, abdominal, urological, and vascular surgeries. About the unitWelcome to 3 North Progressive Care. We are a 29 bed unit caring for a variety of adult patients. We primarily treat respiratory patients, but also manage cardiac, post-surgical, and patients with multiple comorbidities. All patients are monitored on remote telemetry. About the unit2 East is a Surgical Critical Care Unit, specializing in cardiovascular surgical interventions. We also provide care to patients requiring general surgical interventions. Our nurses possess skills that allow them to demonstrate immense critical thinking and physical assessment skills which sets them apart as they continually manage acutely ill patients. The unit staff is comprised of RNs (registered nurses), NTs (nurse technicians) and CAs (clinical assistants). It is led by a Clinical Nurse Manager, an Associate Clinical Manager on the off-shift, and a Nurse in Professional Development Specialist.
