Duties/Responsibilities: Read and understand work order verifying correctsubstrate, bind type, ink color, and run lengths. Learn to interpret the information on the work order and its contents. Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team. Communicate with Supervisor and Scheduling Team as needed. Set up machine and perform quality printing and folding of text and halftone work. Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies, job changeovers and folder changeovers. Inspect for quality defectsensuring quality standards are achieved. Maintain accurate data collections. Understand substrate – weights, PPI, size, grain direction, coating, marking and storage. Oversee all segments of press operation. Ensure bundles conform to bindery needs including proper identification. Be sure all waste is disposed of properly including printed and blank substrate, inks, and fountain solution.
