Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Paramedic Technology or Paramedicine preferred. Hold national registry status at a Paramedic level. Additional training provided/workshops and staff meetings are to be attended as per policy. Depending on state requirements, individuals may need to have a state license. Additional licensures as required depending upon state; Paramedic (PAR) Certification, National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS)100, 200, 700, and 800 completed and continued education hour's as mandated by accreditation. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent, advanced version for paramedics, International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred depending on location.
