Job Summary Displays ability to apply the knowledge and skills of advanced social work practice, responding to suspected abuse, neglect or violence in accordance with the National Association of Social Work Code of Ethics policies and procedures alongside the appropriate state laws. Possesses an expert level of critical thinking and in-depth psychosocial assessments. Exhibits ability to apply complex concepts to situations. If carrying the correct licensure, may diagnose patients/clients/residents. May provide specialized counseling and support. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team in providing assistance with social, emotional and economic concerns of the patients/clients/residents and families/caregivers, thus enabling them to achieve or maintain an optimal level of functioning.
