As a Program Director / Designated Coordinator, you will oversee the program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will assure each individual is provided with guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building. You will advocate that each individual’s health and wellness needs are met and that they are accomplishing their outcomes, hopes, and dreams by promoting independence in performing essential life skills.
Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.Manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualified as a Designated Coordinator per the following:A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to person with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; orA minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; andFour years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).An equivalent combination of education and experience.Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.Effective communication skills to manage relationships.A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
