Job Description:Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Trained Medication Aide to serve at Grace Home, our long-term care facility in Graceville, Minnesota. This LPN or TMA works on a casual, as-needed basis. Works both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress.Medication Aide ($18.59-$27.64 based on experience):Responsible for providing direct patient care to skilled nursing facility residents and for servicing the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with providing for nutritional needs, recognized and deals with the problems of the aging process, recognizes and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurses, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions. This position also works as a team member in the nursing department, administering medications to residents as ordered by the physician, under direct supervision of the nurse on duty.
