ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (70%) Technologist Assistance Monitors MRI, CT, arthrogram and x-ray schedulesAdjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changesGreets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedurePrepares patient jackets and compiles films putting them together in appropriate jacket according to date and numberAssists technologists in room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheetHelps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the tableRestores and networks all previous exams for next day's returning patients (20%) Cleaning & Organization Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI room(s)Ensures that all MRI patient areas are stocked and organized in a neat and tidy mannerCleans and stocks patient prep room and patient restroomStocks linen and empties laundry at the end of the nightOrganizes and cleans supply closet and computer roomsOrganizes radiologist reading area after radiologist has left for the dayChecks with MRI technologists, Medical Records and/or Front Office for additional duties as needed (10%) Performs other duties as assigned

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.This is a part-time position (20-29 hours/week) working various days of the week between the hours of 6:30am-6:00pm (8 hour shifts) or work 2 12-hour shifts from 8:00am-8:00pm/9:00am-9:00pm; includes Saturday rotation. Willing to train in MRI! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(90%) Patient MRI Imaging Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriatelyPerforms routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) MRI Department Support Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
