Salary Range- $65,000- $80,000 + Commission BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Superintendent- Environmentalis responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all assigned Environmental projects. Including but not limited to Asbestos Abatement, Microbial Growth Clean up, and Lead Abatement. Additional responsibilities include state or local code and Regulation 8 requirements, temporary labor management, equipment selection, material procurement, on-site management, paperwork accuracy, and quality control. The Environmental Superintendent is also responsible for working closely with occupants, property owners, and industrial hygienists throughout the abatement process, including daily updates to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Field Management* Manage technicians and temporary labor at job sites and at shops.* Each day, fill out a Daily Project Summary, Sign-in Sheet, and Safety toolbox meeting forms.* Monitor progress and schedule for final clearances.* Manage temporary labor sources.* Complete order forms for materials and equipment needed for specific projects.* Ensure all demolition is clean, complete, and ready for rebuild.* Monitor man hours allotted for project completion.* Conduct Safety toolbox talks and compliance with BluSky safety policies.* Manage sign-in sheets for all Temporary labor sources.* Adhere to all State, OSHA, and Environment regulations.* Assist as needed with any Mitigation emergencies.* Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standards.* Adheres to all company Best Practices.* Provides the highest level of customer service at all times.* All other duties or projects as assigned. Office/Shop Management* Review and monitor paperwork related to the project and turn it in to the Project Coordinator.* Time is to be entered into Exaktime at the end of each work shift.* Turn in Temporary Labor Timesheet Weekly.* Maintain commonly used materials inventory.* Fill out the order form for equipment and materials used for a specific job.* Track equipment used on projects to ensure inventory of equipment is accounted for.* Tag and communicate any equipment needing service.* Update project schedules as needed.* Ensure your appropriate certifications are kept up to date.* Ensure equipment is in working condition and ready for deployment.* Ensure vehicles are ready and stocked per BluSky specifications.* Responsible for directing, mentoring, and training Environmental Technician personnel.* Representation on BluSky emergency mitigation on-call management rotation. Profitability Management * Meets or exceeds billing, revenue, and profit margin goals as defined by BluSky. * Secures bids to obtain fair pricing on jobs within two weeks of assignment of the job per Best Practices. * Completes buy out worksheet and update weekly. * Tracks change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order form and budget updates. QUALIFICATIONS: * 3-5 years residential and commercial construction, general contracting and/or restoration experience preferred. * 3+ years project management experience preferred. * Must be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across the nation. * Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process. EDUCATION: * Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field. Acts as a resource to staff regarding administrative programs, policies, and changes. Promotes a collaborative approach with physicians and other health care disciplines. Develops and implements an ongoing infection prevention and control program to prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infections in order to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment. Establishes facility-wide systems for the prevention, identification, reporting, investigation, and control of infections and communicable diseases of residents, staff, and visitors. Develops and implements written policies and procedures in accordance with current standards of practice and recognized guidelines for infection prevention and control. Oversees the facility's antibiotic stewardship program. Oversees resident care activities that increase risk of infection (i.e., use and care of urinary catheters, wound care, incontinence care, skin care, point-of-care blood testing, and medication injections). Leads the facility's Infection and Prevention Control Committee. Develops action plans to address opportunities for improvement. Participates on the facility's QAA Committee. Implements an annual infection control risk assessment process and participates in the facility's annual facility assessment review process. Reviews and/or revises the facility's infection prevention and control program, its standards, policies, and procedures annually and as needed for changes to the facility assessment to ensure they are effective and in accordance with current standards of practice for preventing and controlling infections. Provides education related to infection prevention and control principles, policies, and procedures to staff, residents, and families (where appropriate). Ensures public health is notified of reportable diseases. Collaborates with other departments in fulfilling requirements related to occupational health and safety. (I.e. employee health). Maintains documentation of infection prevention and control program activities. Serve as a liaison between Bethesda lab and pharmacy & the Director of Nursing and staff nurses. Impromptu rounds in the facility for keeping work areas clean and clear of obstacles, CNAs and CNs performing duties in a timely fashion and to assess resident care. Weekend on call duties include: staffing, incident reporting, and troubleshooting issues that come up. Occasionally when needed, attends care plan meetings with staff and family members. Completes assigned section of MDS in a timely manner. Monitors employees currently on Worker's Compensation therapies or PT/OT/ST therapies and types up the notes and informs the Director of Nursing. Monitors and makes rounds to assess care in the Restorative Nursing Program. Coordinates program and monitors restorative staff. Updates and maintains restorative records. Maintain records and monitor reduction of restraints in the Restraint Reduction Program.
