Product Owner w/Banking and Financial Exp. (Onsite) Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Product owner with experience in Banking and Financial services and Agile methodologies. Location: Raleigh, NC, USA. “You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.” Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Product Manager / Strategist to translate business, user, experience, and technology requirements into understandable and actionable backlog.The PO will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product roadmap in collaboration with the client Product owner.Document the requirements and groom them with the scrum teams and participate in the solution discussions and support the team in successful delivery of the program by providing subject matter expertise.Clearly communicate business priorities to partners in tech, design, and controlsTranslate complex business needs into technical solution requirements and interact with the Software developers, architects, and other technical team members to build the payment systems.Work through System Integrated Testing (SIT) and API Testing to validate end-to-end system functionality using software tools.Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that advise business decisions using software programming languages.Support management of the product roadmap and drive prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts.Support product development by working with Engineering and Design to drive team ceremonies, such as refinement, sprint planning, and product reviews.Leverage data to understand user behavior and shape your product roadmap. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.6+ Years of Product Owner experience in Banking and Financial Services.Validated experience as a Product Owner in the B2B payments industry, with a strong understanding of RTP, ACH, and FedNow systems.Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Experience with Zelle or other real-time payment systems.Familiarity with payment hub integration with other backend systems for payment processing.Translate complex business needs into technical solution requirements and interact with the Software developers, architects, and other technical team members to build the payment systems.Having proven understanding of software development practices, system design & architecture, API development, cloud and database concepts, and ability to analyze software code.Experienced in System Integrated Testing (SIT) and API Testing.Experienced in data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions using software programming languages. Salary and compensation The annual salary for this position is between $108,500K – $127,500K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
