Office Complex, Raleigh, NCPAY GRADEAdministrator Band 4FLSA STATUSExemptELIGIBILITY FOR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTNoWORK WEEK SCHEDULEMonday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweekPOSITION PURPOSE:Develops, directs, and oversees CNS warehouse operations under the policies of the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and the Child Nutrition Services Program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)Extensiveknowledgeofsupply,food,andequipmentbiddingprocedures;ConsiderableknowledgeofMicrosoftOffice,specificallyWordandExcel;GoogleApps;Effectivetimemanagement andorganizationalskills;Criticalthinkingandproblemsolvingskills;Excellentcustomerserviceskills;Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;Abilitytoanalyzeandinterpretgovernmentalregulations;Ability to minimize errors with attention to detail;Ability to foster teamwork within CNS;Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, and other WCPSS departments such as Accounting, Purchasing, Technology Services, Compensation Services, and Security.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’sdegreeinBusinessAdministration,Accounting,orotherrelatedfieldfromanaccreditedcollegeor university;Twoyearsof supervision or management experience;Sufficientexperiencewithpurchasing;Othercombinationsofapplicableeducation,training,andexperiencewhichprovidetheknowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTSMust hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the State of NC requirements.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledgeofelectronicinventoryandorderingsystems;Familiarity with local, state and federal laws relating to facility maintenance and operations;WorkingknowledgeofOraclebusinessapplications.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Writes and awards bids on paper goods, cleaning supplies, small equipment, USDA commodity processing, and other warehouse needs, as required.Supervises the flow of purchased food from multiple vendors to all school sites, includes the receipt and transmission of weekly orders from all schools for groceries, bakery, fresh produce, ice cream, and vended snacks and drinks, as needed.Overseescustomerservicefunctionasitrelatestoissueswithproductandservice.Coordinates the flow of special diet foods, including receipt, inventory control, and issuance of food as well as serving as liaison with CNS Supervisor in charge of menus and special diets.Assistsingenerationofreportsusedasmanagementtoolsaswellasrequiredgovernmentalreports.Includes vendors’ receipts of deliveries, warehouse invoices, school inventories, etc.CoordinatesobtainingandschedulingmaintenanceofvehiclesforCNS.Coordinatestransferofschoolequipmentbetweensitesandequipmentremovalforsurplus/disposal.Maintains safety, security,and appearanceof warehouse.Coordinatestransferoffoodduringfreezerfailureataschooloratthewarehouse.Coordinateopeningnewschoolsaswellasrenovationsofoldsites.Assistsdirectorandsupervisorsasneededwithsocialfunctionssuchassecuringsamplesofgoods.Assistsmanagerswithemergencyneedssuchasmakingdeliveries.Maintainsdailyinventory recordsandperformsactualphysicalinventory of warehouse semi-annually.Unloadstrucks, whennecessary.Attendsworkshopsandprofessionalgrowthmeetings.Performsotherrelatedduties,asassigned.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis job operates in a and office and warehouse environment with variable temperatures. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, and vendors. Work is considered moderately heavy work, requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment.
