The technicians also communicate all findings to the necessary departments. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.ACTIVITIES: Communicates and coordinates with Production to keep processing up to date as issues are found.Adheres to safe work practices, following GMP’s, maintaining sanitary conditions and ensuring that product quality is maintained. Reports to management if any conditions or practices may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.Verify PC’s and CCP’s are complete and signed off.Responsible for following the shift’s checklist for the area.Accountable for filling out inventory adjustment sheets when finished product is removed from inventory. Accountable for filling out hold tags when product is to be put on hold.Responsible for weekly environmental swabs and air plates.Ensures employees are following proper safety policies/procedures.Performs and records assigned QAT tasks as identified in Red Zone.Works with micro, process/chemistry lab and QA supervisor to get product samples to the labs in a timely manner.Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
